Costume and Make up

Costume and makeup simply refers to the clothes or outfits that the characters wear and the makeup that is used on them. Costume is generally used to signify a characters lifestyle be it upperclass or poor but can also be used to show what type of person a character is. Makeup is used alongside the costume to add to this effect.
The characters below are from the period drama Downton Abbey the costumes and makeup in this production are very detailed as they have to recreate a certain period in time.
